Video Editing :(

It’s like Math, easy enough if you get enough practice.

I have to get used to Adobe’s creative suite being extremely codec-picky (even with the codecs used by DV-giant Sony.)

But I’m not getting enough practice (I haven’t even got to learning Adobe Bridge… to bridge my After Effects and Premiere work.) Add to that my machines’ incapability at streaming even DVD-quality video smoothly.

I have to borrow a camera everytime (hi Macs! Thanks), and I just found out that his camera’s DVD-burner is as noisy as a failing HDD platter (it doesn’t even have a mic jack to compensate.) And then there’s that lack of microphones, lighting equipment, another camera to fend off SAS.

Here’s hoping I get more opportunities to film and edit. Or I can create those opportunities myself :)

I just have to finish this documentary today (I’m already a few days late as it is)

Just Getting Used To Writing Again

I missed Glee :(

I just realized that part of Unknown Caller by U2 has some Mac references (haha)

Force Quit… Move to Trash

What the fuck? :))

Having said that, the lyrics to the songs in No Line On The Horizon are just starting to dig in on my consciousness. Since getting the album, I’ve always thought of Horizon as one of their weirder concept albums. While Adam Clayton, The Edge and Larry Mullen, Jr. are up to snuff, I saw Bono as having one of those ego trips. Or maybe just running out of ideas. The songs are good enough for air-drumming/bass slapping/guitaring, they’re weren’t particularly memorable like their songs in Joshua Tree, All That You Can’t Leave Behind, How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, etc. Yet I prove myself wrong. The songs are just as great as their past works! I usually end up getting Last-Song-Syndrome with their songs.

Oh yeah, I’ve got Snow Leopard working on my Compaq already! I used Hazard’s 10.6.2 distro. Wi-Fi still doesn’t work, but Audio-Out works now! Too bad OSx86 is a lot buggier than stock Win7. And the NTFS drivers suck! When I’m in Windows, the permissions get fucked up so bad!
